Unescorted children
Children from 5 to 12 years of age can fly without their parents or guardians. According to wish of parents or guardians age of an unaccompanied child can be prolonged up to 16. It is the duty of air company staff to take care of such children. In this case transportation of unaccompanied children is paid in the amount of 100% from the current adult rating in this direction, charging fee for an unaccompanied child in point of flight connection and transfer to another air company of Sky Team alliance is not stipulated. The ticket has the note "the child needs care". When buying or reserving a ticket parents or guardians must claim transportation of an unaccompanied child.
The child is taken for transportation if:
When all these requirements are met the air company bear all the responsibility for the child till the moment it is met in the airport of destination.
According to Article 20 of RF Law "Of RF exit and entry procedure" children- RF citizens up to age 18, flying accompanied, must apart from international passport with visa have agreement of one of the parents, guardians, adopters or custodians notarized of certified by the consulate.
Attendants fill in and sign Application for transportation of an unaccompanied child (Appendix ?1), Request for an unaccompanied child (Appendix ?2) about transfer of rights for an unaccompanied child to the air company. In case the child leaves for more than 3 months this agreement must be signed by guardianship authorities in the form and manner, stated by the RF government.
A registered air ticket shall include a note about availability of agreement of parents or one one of the parents against the signature of the person, who buys the ticket. Besides, a plate "Unaccompanied child" and an envelope with special blanks to fill in are given out.
After filling the blanks, the first copy signed by an Aeroflot employee or serving agent is kept by the parents, the second copy is taken out on registration and kept in the airport of departure, copies under numbers 3,4,5,6 are given to the flight attendant, who is responsible for serving the child on board, where the fourth copy is a copy for transit, and the fifth is given by the flight attendant to an air company representative (agent) in the destination point, the sixth copy is given to the child when the flight is over.
Registration of the group of children
When registering a group of children from other RF cities and when it is impossible to provide letters of attorney, organization, dealing with purchase and registration of tickets, must provide guarantee obligation about availability of letters of attorney from parents, adoptive parents and guardians for every child in this group (this requirement is necessary only for children - RF citizens), which is also noted by the head of the group.
