Air Malta
Unaccompanied Minors are those children unaccompanied by a guardian who undertake a flight with us between the ages of 7 years and 12 years.
We will provide them with all the care and reassurance that they require for an enjoyable and comfortable flight.
An adult guardian should complete the appropriate Unaccompanied Minors Form with all the information necessary. We will require details concerning both the adult at departure point, and the corresponding adult meeting the child on arrival. The accompanying adult at the departure airport must remain at the airport until the flight actually departs. In the event of a long delay, the child will necessarily be returned to his/her care.
We will appoint an official to accompany the child through security and passport controls. In the Departure Lounge we continue to attend to the child until he/she is escorted to the aircraft and handed into the care of the Flight Purser.
Upon arrival at the destination airport, the Flight Purser will hand over the child to Passenger Services staff. The child is then escorted through Immigration control, assisted with baggage reclaim, and handed over to the appropriate adult person meeting the child on arrival.
