Unaccompanied Minor

1. Between the Continental USA and Hawaii: Children under 15 years of age who are not accompanied on the same flight and in the same compartment by a passenger 18 years of age or over are accepted for transportation.
   For travel wholly within the State of Hawaii: Children under 12 years of age who are not accompanied on the same flight and in the same compartment by a passenger 16 years of age or over are accepted for transportation.

   HA will accept up to two (2) children in an immediate family with the same drop-off/pickup information for a single surcharge. For each additional child, the surcharge will be assessed for each child.

   *Accepted for HA to HA connecting service only.

   In addition, the following policies have been established:

   1. The HA unaccompanied minor service is mandatory for children ages 5-11 for interisland flights and 5-14 for domestic U.S. flights, and optional for children ages 15-17 for all flights. The mandatory fee is payable for each flight at the time of check in.

   2. Children (5-14 years old) must be brought to the airport of departure by a parent or responsible adult and who must complete the required documentation and furnish HA with satisfactory evidence, including name, phone number and address of the parent or responsible adult who will be meeting the child upon deplaning at his/her destination. The parent or guardian must accompany the child to the gate for a departing flight and remain with the child until the child has boarded the flight, and pick up the child at the gate upon arrival. If the parent or responsible adult meeting the child is not the individual identified at departure, the parent or responsible adult who furnished the information at departure must immediately contact HA to provide alternate information via electronic transmission. HA will only release the child to the individual(s) named on the document.

   3. The child will not be accepted if the flight on which the child holds a reservation is expected to terminate short of or bypass his/her destination.

   4. Whether in advance or at check-in, if there is a possibility the child's flight may be delayed, or there may be a misconnection (children 8-14 years old) for any reason, HA may change the child's flight schedule, including departure date.

   5. Travel will not be allowed on a Hawaiian Airlines flight departing between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. unless travel is on flights operating out of Honolulu, Hawaii, which are the only flight of the day. Unaccompanied Minors will not be accepted for travel on the last connecting flight of the day to their final destination.

   6. Unaccompanied Minors are not accepted on:

      1. Flights to/from international destinations including American Samoa, or which require an overnight stay in order to make a connection

      2. Connecting flights to/from another carrier

      3. Any codeshare flights

2. Fare
   Except as provided in specific fare rules, children traveling unaccompanied or accompanied pay a full adult fare.
