Midwest

Midwest Airlines and Midwest Connect accept children ages 5-14 as unaccompanied minors for a $50 fee each way on nonstop or through flights or a $75 fee for connecting service. If two or more unaccompanied minors from the same family travel together, only one fee is assessed. Unaccompanied minors are not accepted on codeshare flights.

The following procedures apply to children traveling alone:

  • In addition to giving information when purchasing the reservation, the parent or legal guardian must fill out an unaccompanied minor form at the airport.

  • One adult, when presenting a valid, government-issued photo ID, will be given a pass allowing them to go through the security checkpoint to accompany the child to the gate. That person must stay in the gate area until the flight departs.

  • The person picking up the child is required to present a valid, government-issued photo ID at the destination ticket counter to obtain a pass allowing them to go through the security checkpoint to meet the child at the gate. A flight attendant or customer service representative will stay with the child until the authorized pick-up person arrives at the gate, shows ID and signs the release form.

If purchasing a reservation for an unaccompanied minor online, please contact Midwest Airlines Reservations at 414-570-7000 or 800-452-2022 with the six-letter confirmation code to provide the child's required information for the flight record.
